Kasey Barnard, Office Manager
Kasey began her career in real estate performing research and marketing functions for the broker/owner of RE/MAX North. Here, she gained valuable knowledge of the real estate market in the Chicagoland area. She continued her real estate career at ELB Mortgage Brokers, where she gained a deeper understanding of real estate transactions and the loan underwriting process. Kasey’s responsibilities included accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, auditing loan files, and filing quarterly and annual payroll tax reports. When ELB closed, Kasey became an independent bookkeeper with a handful of clients including three real estate investment partnerships. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington.
Sherry Cho, Accountant
Sherry began her career as an accountant at China Life Insurance Company, Ltd. At CLI, she was in charge of accounts payable, payroll and assisted with the financial budget for 4 branches. Sherry also worked as an accountant for CARE Facility Maintenance, where she performed monthly bank reconciliations, generated financial statements and assisted in tax preparations. Sherry received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Beijing Institute of Technology in Beijing, China. She received her Master of Science degree in Accounting from University of Illinois at Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Alan Meltzer, Principal
Alan began his career as a Financial Analyst for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). At JLL, Alan evaluated, structured and closed public-private transactions to maximize the value of federal and local government property. Alan supported the negotiations, successful transaction closure and asset management of several multi-family developments that privatized housing at US Air Force installations. In 2009, Alan founded Meltzer Real Estate and began acquiring failed condominium conversions and developments in the Chicago area and de-converting them to apartments. The company has since expanded into acquiring stabilized and value-add multi-family and mixed-use properties and providing third party property management services. Alan received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is an Illinois Licensed Community Association Manager and an Illinois Licensed Real Estate Managing Broker.
Ciddy Nowosad, Property Manager
Before beginning her career in real estate, Ciddy has worked in a variety of industries including law, architecture, and banking. For the past 10 years, Ciddy worked for a few different boutique rental and property management companies in Chicago. She possesses deep knowledge of both the downtown and suburban rental markets making her a trusted asset to the team. Ciddy received her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Grant MacEwan College. She is an Illinois Licensed Real Estate Broker, and working toward her Community Association Manager license.
Judy Wang, Staff Accountant
Judy began her career as a market research intern at China Citic Bank. She then interned for a Logistics firm and Accounting firm in the Chicago area where she assisted with tax returns and managed accounts receivable, while pursuing her Master’s degree. Judy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Minneapolis. She received her Master of Science degree in Accountancy from DePaul University.
